If an enterprise seeks to develop new products, processes or solve a problem, the network can facilitate and conduct short-term research and development studies.

The network offers a range of facilities to support enterprise with their research and development needs with expertise in tissue engineering, gene therapy, molecular biology and biomedical engineering. We enable development of commercially viable and clinically effective regenerative medicine applications that are safe and reproducible at an economically acceptable cost.
BIOSENSORS and DEVICES
University partners host a range of expertise and facilities enabling the development of diagnostics and medical devices including wearables, minimally invasive devices and biosensors. We can support clinical, scientific or translational research to generate new technologies and processes that can be transferred into clinical practiceas guidelines, diagnostic tests or medical devices.
BIOCOMPATIBILITY and SAFTEY EVALUATION
This area of R&D explores the interaction of living systems or tissue with materials such as nanoparticles or nanostructured materials, to determine their biologically compatibility. Research within this theme covers areas including nano-safety and toxicology screening, including biocompatibility testing and the implementation and improvement of new safety evaluation programs and protocols.
Advanced therapeutics is a disease treatment or prevention strategy that considers which approaches will be effective for which patients based on their genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors. Targeting patients or groups of patients more accurately for prevention or treatment of a particular disease can spare expense and side-effects.
