Regenerative medicine is a promising interdisciplinary field focused on developing novel treatments aimed to restore and/or regenerate diseased and injured tissues in human and veterinary medicine.
The workshop will give a theoretical overview of the current trends in Regenerative Medicine for the treatment of orthopaedic conditions in small and large animals, and through a practical workshop address the preparation, biology and mechanism of action of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and related concentrates involved in tissue regeneration and resolution of inflammation.

    • 13:30 – 14:00 Techniques of Stem/Stromal Cell Isolation from Adipose Tissue – video presentation – Ana Ivanovska
    • 14:00 – 14:30 Platelet Concentrates in Regenerative Medicine: Biological basis and preparation methods – Stefano Grolli
    • 14:30 - 15:00 Tea Break
    • 15:00 - 17:00 Hands-on session - Preparation of PRP from equine blood - Stefano Grolli and Ana Ivanovska
